Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Jasmin came to England in 1991 when she was 13 years old. Married and with a young son Jasmin now lives in Camden, London and combines being a full time mum with running Jazzyfaces. Having drawn, painted and created from an early age Jasmine went on to study at Central St Martins College of Art & Design, graduating with a BA in Textile Design. Jasmin’s interest in face painting was kindled when a friend showed her a book titled “What Should I Be?” The book was full of costume making ideas and included a section on face painting. Fascinated by this art form she immersed herself in researching anything and everything to do with face painting. By the time she actually got her hands on some face paints and brushes she was hooked! Four and a half years ago, whilst holding a Carnival Head Dress Workshop at the Victoria & Albert Museum, Jasmin noticed beautifully face painted children coming into the workshop. Although she didn’t know it at the time these children were painted by Bibi Freeman. Jasmin loved Bibi’s work then and loves it even more now! Although in total admiration of Bibi Freeman’s talent, amazing energy and passion Jasmin is also inspired by every face and body artist she meets. Jasmin’s ideal face painting booking would consist of three things. Good pay, lots of children to paint and birthday cake to take home. Visit Jasmin´s website www.jazzyfaces.com |
